Behind The Green Door
The Green Door was established in 2009
Our Mini-Day-Spa was launched on the 9th February 2009. The Conservative MP, Helen Grant cut the ribbon. The Mayor of Maidstone, at that time, Cllr Denise Joy was in attendance with her Consort.
Most of the other guests were loyal clients that have followed Trudi Westhrop, Director of the Green Door, over the years in Marden, when she was above the local pharmacy.
Today, Behind The Green Door you will find the same level of attentive service which has kept our beauty clients returning month after month, all these years.
Trudi, started her career at the Sanctuary Spa in London before managing The Mandarin Oriental Spa in Hong Kong for 5 years. On her return in 2000 she dreamed of opening a Mini-Day-Spa with the help of the Beauty Team the dream has become a reality in Marden, a village, close to Maidstone, the county town.
Our Beginnings
On her return to the UK in 2000, from Hong Kong, Trudi Westhrop dreamed of opening a successful beauty salon. Initially, she had a one room set up above the Pharmacy, also located in Marden High Street. As her client base grew she knew it was time to expand – and so The Green Door Mini Day Spa was born, interestingly, next door to her original business.
Our Mission
We aren’t going to get all corporate on you now. Simply put, we enjoy coming to work and we hope this translates into everything we do. Our focus is you and the treatments we do. We realise clients have all sorts of reasons for visiting our sanctuary; so our mission is to cater for those needs. We don’t bring any stress to work, so our hands are free to take any stress away from you.
Us Today
We continue with our original objective to create an atmosphere conducive to a Mini Day Spa. We have, since starting in 2009, both men and women visiting us. Our team works well together and this provides the unique atmosphere at The Green Door. Our team might change from time to time but our service and attention to you does not. There is only one Green Door.
What the Future Holds
We are confident that The Green Door will remain a great destination for the client and shopper alike and we are constantly searching for treatments, products and services which follow this aim. We will keep abreast of the latest trends and work out the best ways to keep you informed of all updates.
